About Wushu and IWUF
Wushu, or Chinese Kungfu, is a hard and soft and complete martial art, as well as a full-contact sport. It has a long history in reference to Chinese martial arts. “Wushu” is the Chinese term for “martial arts”. In contemporary times, Wushu has become an international sport through the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), which holds the World Wushu Championships every two years. About the Bulgarian Wushu Federation (The Organizing Committee)
The Bulgarian Wushu Federation was founded in January 1990. It is a member of the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and the European Wushu Federation (EUWUF). The Bulgarian Wushu Federation is licensed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Youth and Sports is and recognized by the Bulgarian Olympic Committee. The Bulgarian Wushu Federation hosted the 6th World Junior Wushu Championships in 2016 and the 3rd World Taichi Championships in 2018.
